Hi I’m Brie!

I am a paediatric Speech Pathologist and owner of Confident Words Speech Therapy. I believe in a strength based, client and family centred approach to all therapy. I am committed to understanding your child and their communication partners so that, together, we can set achievable goals that work best for you. My goal is to support your child in developing the skills they need to communicate confidently in their daily environments, and to empower you as caregivers in fostering your child’s communication skills.

Throughout my experience, I have learnt and had reaffirmed the value of trust and rapport as the foundation for successfully developing communication skills. I strive to provide a welcoming environment that allows children to thrive and develop a positive connection with learning. Discovering and continuing to learn how each child is unique is one of the many things I love about my job!

I have over 10 years of experience working as a Speech Pathologist and have worked within the private practice setting for over 5 years. Prior to beginning my private practice journey, I worked in Early Years & School Age community health settings, within Central London National Health Trust (NHS), and within primary schools and ECDPs (Early Childhood Development Program) with the Queensland Department of Education and Training in rural Queensland.
